Hazel A. “Granny” Baker 96, of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell KY.

She was born in Load KY on March 8, 1920 a daughter of the late John & Emily Vaughn Adkins.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of the Greenup Christian Church.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband Homer Baker in 1994; five brothers, James Adkins, Virgil Adkins, Edward Adkins, Leonard Adkins and Ezra Adkins and three sisters, Martha Billups, Barbara Adkins and Miranda Adkins.

She is survived by a son Tommy Baker and his wife Belinda of Greenup; a daughter, Joyce Wilson and her husband Ernie of Lloyd; a brother, Richard Boyd Adkins and his wife Edith of Lloyd and a sister, Faye Johnson of Greenup.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Tracey Baker and his wife Wendy, Jerry Wilson and his wife Jamie, Tara Clark and her husband Jason and Allan Wilson and his wife Michelle; nine great grandchildren, Kendall and Cody Baker, Brady, Grace and Bristol Clark, Brittney Craft, Torri Wilson, Tony Peppers and Alexis Wilson; one great great grandchild, Brelynn Craft and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Mike Dennis.

Burial will follow in the Baker – McGinnis Cemetery in Greenup County KY.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Wednesday and one hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home.
