Leslie Neil Wright is a second generation owner and is the youngest son of Jesse B. and Mona Wright, the founders of Wright's Funeral Home. Neil is a lifelong resident of the City of Greenup. Born in 1967, he is a graduate of Greenup County High School '85 and Mid America College of Funeral Science '86. He started his funeral directors and embalmers apprenticeship at Schoppenhorst & Underwood Funeral Home in Louisville in 1985, later transferring to the family business in Greenup. In 1988 he married Leslie Renee Tussey Wright and they are the proud parents of one daughter, Dr. Ashley Morgan Wright. In 1991 Neil and Renee took over management of the family business from his parents.
Neil has always been active in his community. In 1984 he followed his father by joining the City of Greenup Fire Department working his way up the ranks to the position of Chief in 2001. In 1986 he joined the Greenup Lions Club serving two terms as president and several as secretary. In 2004 Lions Club International honored Neil with making him a Melvin Jones Fellow, one of the highest awards a member can receive. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Little Sandy Fire Department, Riverview Cemetery Association, Greenup County Ambulance Board, Greenup County Park and Fair Board, Riverside Swim Club, City of Greenup Main Street and Greenup Old Fashion Days. He has served two terms as a City of Greenup Council member, he is a member of the Russell Fraternal Order of Police #45, is Past Master of Greenup Masonic Lodge #89 F & AM. In 1988 he earned a certification as Kentucky State Fire Instructor, he is currently serving as Engineer of the Greenup Fire Department and recently has been re- elected to his sixth term as the Greenup County Coroner.

The youngest child to Leslie Woodrow & Pauline Harlow
Tussey of Warnock KY. She attended grade school at Warnock Elementary later
graduating in 1985 from Greenup County High School. She attended Morehead State
University and the University of Kentucky earning her degree in nursing. She
started her nursing career and remains a labor and delivery nurse at Kings
Daughters Medical in Ashland KY with close to 30 years of service.
Renee married Neil Wright in 1988 and in 1991 they welcomed
their daughter Dr. Ashley Morgan Wright. The next year she joined Neil in
assuming the ownership of Wright’s Funeral Home that was established in 1960 by
Neil’s mother and father.
In 2011 she applied for her funeral directors and embalmers
apprenticeship and was awarded her funeral director licenses in 2013. She has
served and volunteered on many committees and boards throughout Greenup County.
Most notable, she is a 20+ year member of the Greenup County Health Department
Board of Directors.
Renee is constantly working to improve everything that she is involved with. All one must do is to look at all the positive change that she has brought to her funeral home. She is constantly working to upgrade and improve the funeral home’s environment to better support the family’s needs. Her work ethic is second to none.

Andrew W. Imel
Funeral Director & Embalmer
Andrew is a 2011 graduate of Greenup County High School and
a 2016 graduate of Mid America College of Funeral Service, where he received
his Bachelor of Science in Funeral Service degree. He became a licensed Funeral
Director and Embalmer in December of 2017.
Andrew is the son of Roy and Rhonda Imel of Greenup. His
family has owned and operated Imel’s Greenhouse in Greenup since 1977.
Andrew is active in his community. He proudly serves as the Greenup County Clerk. Andrew is an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts
of America and Vigil Honor with the Order of the Arrow. He attends Greenup
First United Methodist Church.
Andrew is married to Madison Mantz Imel and they have two sons, Archer William Imel and Axton Bruce Imel. He enjoys cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats,
traveling to Gatlinburg TN and spending time with his family.
