Carl Raymond Kibbey 83 of Lost Creek in Greenup County went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.

He was born on Lost Creek on July 8, 1934 a son of the late Virgil & Jewell Fossett Kibbey. He was the youngest of 15 children.

He was a retired Carman for the CSX Railroad and a farmer.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by his wife Carolyn Ann Smith Kibbey in 2007 and 13 siblings.

He is survived by three sons, Carl Raymond “Pete” Kibbey II and his wife Paula of Lloyd, Keith Alden Kibbey and his wife Jody of Flatwoods and Steven Matthew Kibbey and his wife Brenda of Argillite; two daughters, Diana Carper and her husband Steve of Lost Creek and Connie Lee Kea of Durham NC; a sister, Iona Clarke of Eckerman MI; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Dr. Tom Melvin.

Burial will follow in the Kibbey Cemetery on Lost Creek.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM till the time of the service on Sunday.
