Donald Lee Stephens

Donald Lee Stephens 79 of Greenup went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell Kentucky.

He was born on Crane Creek in Greenup County on February 2, 1939 a son of the late Will & Lacy Skaggs Stephens.

He was retired Carman from CSX Railroad where he served as shop steward, a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carman and was a member of the Wurtland Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by four brothers, five sisters and a special nephew Ronnie Stephens.

He is survived by his wife Lois C. Rash Stephens; a daughter, Donna Lynette “Sis” Williams and her husband Jon of Wurtland; three sons, Ronald Lee Stephens of Crane Creek, Donald Edwin Stephens and his wife Carrie of Waverly NE and Paul Bowling and his wife Jeana of Greenup; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a special nephew, Bill Stephens and his wife Michele; very close friends, Wayne & Clara Carpenter along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother J.R. Gullett.

Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery NE.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
