Georgia Mae Smith

Georgia Mae Smith 90 of Lost Creek in Greenup County went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell KY.

She was born on Hoods Run Road in Greenup County on May 29, 1928 a daughter of the late George & Verdie Sturgill Stephens.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, Johnny Smith in 2001; two children, Ellis Smith and James Roy Smith and six siblings, Romerle Stephens, Mabel Bowling, Hillis Bowling, Frances Smith, Jenny Reed and Anna Evans.

She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Jenkins and her husband Larry of Sciotoville OH, Carol Morris and her husband Danny of Greenup, Louvaughn Plummer and her husband Mike of Greenup and Connie Skeens and her husband Gary of Load; two sons, Johnny Ray Smith and his wife Martha of Load and Glen Smith and his wife Peggy of Crossville TN; a sister, Gladys Smith of Load; 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Wright’s Funeral home in Greenup KY by Brother Jason Plummer.

Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in Load KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the funeral on Sunday.
