Ida Virginia Johnson 88 of Greenup went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland KY.

She was born in Greenup County Kentucky on October 1, 1929 a daughter of the late Ernest & Hattie Salsbury Potter.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, James Everett Johnson and two sons Charles Johnson and Ernest Johnson.

She is survived by two sons, Dennis Johnson and his wife Cy of Oldtown and Mitchell Johnson of Clewiston FL; a daughter, Melissa Stewart of Morehead; a sister, Frances Miller of Troy Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, January 22, 2018 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Wayne Stephenson.

Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery in Greenup County.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Sunday and 1 hour before the funeral Monday at the funeral home.
