Louise Bradford Sargent, 85 of Greenup, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Our Lady at Bellefonte Hospital in Russell KY.
She was born in Carter County on March 12, 1933 the daughter of the late Dennis & Maggie Ethel Blevins Bradford.
She was a member of the Crane Creek Freewill Baptist Church; a 58 year member and Past Worthy Matron of Electa Chapter #3 Order of the Star; she loved quilting, sewing, gardening and canning.
She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband of 55 years, Millard F. Sargent in 2005.
She is survived by seven children, Karen Rankl and husband Ray of Sarasota FL, Ben Sargent and wife Cathy of Greenup, Linda Sargent of Grayson, Greg Sargent and wife Rebecca of Greenup, Mary Goben and husband Jon of Frankfort, Traci Maynard and husband Fred of Austin TX and Melissa Wilburn and husband James of Greenup; eleven grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Andrea Fults, Nichole Bradley, Dennis Sargent, David Sargent, Nathen Goben, Samantha Maynard, Erica Gatrell, Christina Rankl, Grant Wilburn and Garrett Wilburn; eleven great grandchildren, Brookelyn Sargent, Lilli Sargent, Emma Sargent, Ben Smith, Luke Smith, Hunter Fults, Noah Fults, Judson Fults, Jackson Fults, Brier Osborn and Alexandria Gatrell; two brothers, Kenneth Bradford of Grayson and Clyde Bradford and wife Dodie of Grayson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Mark Hutchinson.
Burial will follow in the Sargent Cemetery in Oldtown KY.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Wednesday and one hour before the funeral Thursday at the funeral home.
Eastern Star funeral rites will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday in conjunction with visitation.
