Nora Alice Salmons 83 of Wheelersburg OH went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the S.O.M.C. Hospice Center in Portsmouth OH.
She was born in Greenup County Kentucky on January 14, 1936 a daughter of the late James and Edna Wright Adkins.
She was a former employee of the Williams Shoe Factory, a homemaker and a member of the Little Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband of 62 years, Wayne O. Salmons in 2018; a daughter, Debra Lynn Salmons; four brothers, Calvin Adkins, Raymond Adkins, Charlie Adkins and Howard Adkins and three sisters, Hazel Sexton, Helen Roe Justice and Edna Adkins.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Hunter of Portsmouth and Patricia Stapleton and her husband David of Worthington; two sisters, Gladys Coleman and Thelma Lou Adkins both of Wheelersburg; five grandchildren, Steven Wayne Hunter, David Matthew Stapleton, Timothy Ray Stapleton, David Lee Hunter and Katy Evans; eleven great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Elder Gary Adkins.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace OH.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 and one hour before the funeral Thursday at the funeral home.
