Rita Gayle Colley

Rita Gayle Colley 69 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2019 at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington KY.

She was born in Greenup KY on November 6, 1950 a daughter of Helen Louise Diller Craft of Greenup and the late Charles Edward Craft.

She was a retired Registered Nurse for Kings Daughters Medical Center, a graduate of Morehead State University and a member of the Greenup First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years.

She was preceded in death along with her father by an infant niece and an infant nephew.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 17 years, James G. Colley; two sisters, Judy Underwood and Linda Lawson both of Greenup; a nephew, Zachary (Tiffanie) Underwood; five nieces, Vicki (Lee) Wireman, Susan (Ben) Bowman, Jessica (Andy) Foster, Ashley (Jeremy) Wilson and Megan (Jeremy) Grizzle; 16 great nieces and nephews; numerous brother and sister in laws, several aunts and uncles and countless cousins, extended family, her church family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Greenup First Baptist Church by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

Burial will follow in the Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd KY.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY and 2 hours before the funeral Monday at the church.
