Robin B. Nickell

Robin B. Nickell 59 of Russell KY went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her residence.

She was born in Ashland KY on June 22, 1959 a daughter of the late Lee Otis Berry & Louise Cox Berry of Wurtland KY.

She was a former Labor and Delivery Nurse at Kings Daughters Medical Center and a Hospice Nurse.

A second mother too many children she welcomed into her home. Robin was a cheer mom and avid GCHS sports fan, as her children played many sports. Robin later continued her love of her family and sports to her grandchildren at Russell.

She was a basketball, football, baseball, cross country and a cheer GiGi. She was of the Baptist faith and loved her Dallas Cowboys and U.K. Wildcats.

She is survived along with her mother by her husband, Rick Nickell; a son, Devin Craig Nickell of Russell; two daughters, Crystal (Josh Henson) Townsend of Flatwoods and Kelena Stapleton and her husband Adam of Russell; four grandchildren, Chloe’ Townsend, Landon Stapleton, Kynlee Stapleton and Kellen Henson; a brother, Richard Berry and his wife Judy of Wurtland along with many extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 7, 2019 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY.

Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery N.E.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM Sunday, January 6, 2019 and one hour before the funeral on Monday at the funeral home.
