1937 - 2020

Betty Jane Skaggs 82, of South Shore KY went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth OH.

She was born in Greenup County KY on September 11, 1937 a daughter of the late Marshall & Lucille McGlone Blevins.

She is survived by her husband Ralph C. Skaggs; seven sons, Sam Skaggs of Raceland, Ralph M. Skaggs of Wheelersburg, Timothy Skaggs of Whitehouse TN, Jack Skaggs of South Shore, Andy Skaggs of Greenup, Jim Skaggs of South Shore and Bryon Skaggs of North Carolina; four daughters, Teresa Blevins of Greenup, Beverly Wireman of Galion OH, Vicki Skaggs of South Shore and Peggy Stanley of Coeburn VA; a brother, Homer Blevins of Marion OH; two sisters, Barbara Massey of Bucyrus OH and Ruby Atha of Jackson OH; 15 grandchildren; 6 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Due to restrictions placed on funerals by the government in regards to the COVID-19 virus, private service only are scheduled for the family.

Burial will be in the Holley Cemetery in Greenup County Kentucky.

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY has been entrusted with Betty’s arrangements.
