Bill Howland
1933 – 2020
William Edward “Bill” Howland 86 of Greenup County KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland KY.
He was born in Greenup County KY on December 12, 1933 a son of the late Virgil Benjamin & Ernestine Dupuy Howland.
He was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church, a retired Machinist for Tennessee Gas, a member and on the board of directors for the Maloneton Volunteer Fire Department and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death along with his parents by a daughter, Patsy Jayne Rice in 2015; a brother, Steve Howland and a sister Frances Pitts.
He is survived by his wife Helen Brown Howland; a daughter, Edwina Lorene Bennett of Ashland; two grandchildren, Christa Rae Clevenger and her husband Mike and Shayne Bennett and his wife Jamie; five great grandchildren, Michael Ray Clevenger, Brady Lane Clevenger, Hunter Blake Clevenger, Madeleine Paige Bennett and Morgan Harper Bennett along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2020 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Brent Newland.
Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Greenup County.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am till the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers it’s requested that donations be made to Liberty United Methodist Church 356 Tygarts Bend Road South Shore KY 41175 in Bill’s honor.
Military graveside honors will be held by the Marine Corps League.
