1949 – 2022

Carl Edward Smith Sr. 72, of Flatwoods KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland KY.

He was born in Ashland KY on March 24, 1949, a son of the late Willie & Mary Menshouse Smith.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by two brothers, Ronald Gene Smith and Richard Hall.  

He is survived by two children, Carl Edward “Eddie” Smith and Rhonda Smith both of Indiana; two brothers, Willie Smith and his wife Gwen of Flatwoods and Anthony Smith and his wife Juanita of Wurtland; a sister, Barb Dixon and her husband Leroy of Flatwoods; four grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, January 7, 2022, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery NE in Greenup County Kentucky.

There will be no visitation.
