Carol Turley

Carol Jean Fields Turley 73, of Greenup, KY passed from this life into the arms of Jesus after an extended illness on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland KY.

She was born in Ashland KY on December 9, 1948, a daughter of the late William and Opal Salyers Fields.

Carol was a RN, BSN retiring from Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. She then decided to continue her nursing career as a traveling nurse. She and her best friend Liz Loan APRN was responsible for bringing numerous flu shots to Greenup County getting grants through the Methodist Church Organization. She was a member of the Greenup First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband Daniel (Dan) Turley, her stepdaughter Joi Lyn Bryson and a sister, Barbara Fields.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Clevenger of Lexington; son Michael G Clevenger of TX; ten grandchildren, Seth Runyon (Jessica Adams), Tanner (Kierra) Runyon, Sydney Runyon, Samantha Clevenger (Kevin Cosper), Michael Clevenger, Daniel Clevenger, Cory Thomas, Jessie (Lee) Wyre, Jenna (Ashton) Morris; five great grandchildren, Leilynn, Bristol, Lili, Bethany, Arlo and #6 coming in September; a brother, William Larry Fields of Argillite; two sisters, Patty (Randy) Smith of Ashland, and Sherry (Perry) Moore of Elk Fork, KY along with many extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Reverend Dr. Nancy Preston.

Burial will follow in the Long Cemetery in Greenup County.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. till the time of service on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
