David Kendall Allen 69, of Oldtown KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland KY.

He was born in Grayson KY on November 20, 1956, a son of the late Kendall “Crow” & Zola Sargant Allen.

He was the owner of Allen Logging Co. and a member of the Greenup McDonalds Breakfast Crew.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by his wife, Sharon Kay Carter Allen in 2012 and a brother, Carl Allen.

He is survived by two daughters, Holly Michele Poindexter and her husband David of Ashland and Angela Dawn Johnson and her husband Jeremy of Raceland; two grandchildren, Quinton Johnson and Morgan Meade; a brother, William Joseph Allen of Paducah KY; his significate other, Angela Roush along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Jim Smedley.

Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery in Oldtown KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations are requested to be made to Community Hospice in David’s memory.

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup, KY. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
