1958 – 2022

David Michael Lykins 63 of Naples FL and Ashland KY went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Cape Cod Hospital in Barnstable MA with his loving wife by his side.

He was born in Louisville, KY on October 16, 1958, a son of the late Thomas and Lucille Debar Lykins.

He retired Director of Community Services City of Naples FL. He was the active Executive Coordinator to Commissioner Burt Saunders of Collier County in Naples, FL, and a member of the North Naples Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and was an avid Kentucky Wildcat Fan.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by a sister, Luann Lykins.

He is survived by his wife of ­38 years, Laura Callihan Lykins; brother, Jeffrey Alan Lykins and his wife Amy of Barboursville, VA; brother-in-law Bryan Callihan and wife Glenna; niece, Ella Lykins; nephews, Nicholas Callihan, Chuck Callihan and his wife Chelsea, Jacob Lykins and Joshua Lykins; great-nephew, Brady Callihan and a great niece Abby Callihan.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup, KY.

Burial will follow in the Plum Grove Cemetery in Greenup KY.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00PM on Sunday, September 25, 2022, and one hour before the funeral on Monday at the funeral home.

A celebration of David’s Life will take place in Naples, FL in November with family and friends.

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
