1956 – 2024

Deborah Sue “Debby” Brown, 67, of Greenup KY, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Best Care Health Facility in Wheelersburg, Ohio.

She was born in Mingo County WV, August 27, 1956, a daughter of the late Sam & Lesta Preston Maynard

She proceeded in death along with her parents by two brothers, Howard Maynard and Paul Maynard and two sisters, Anna Cales and Mary Martha Maynard.

She was a retired bookkeeper for the Raceland School System and had served in the U.S. Army. She was a loving mother and grandmother that was always looking forward to her next trip to the beach.   

She was survived by two daughters, Karen Ann Bowling and her husband Tony of Greenup KY, and Samantha Desiree Brown (Jereme Mortensen) of Louisville KY; three grandchildren Kristen Barker and her husband William, Garrett Mathew Bowling, and Mason Adam Brown-Mortensen; a great granddaughter, Kadence Wheeler; along with a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the Preston Family Cemetery on St. Rt 827 in Greenup by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

There will be no public visitation.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Main Street Venue 310 Main Street Greenup KY 41144.

It was Debby’s wish, that in leu of flowers, donations be sent to the Preston Family Cemetery c/o Ferrell Howard 3346 State Route 827, Greenup KY 41144.
