Dorothy Lee Wells 77 of South Shore KY went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth OH.

She was born in Magoffin County Kentucky on March 12, 1946, a daughter of the late Lee & Ethel Burgett Perkins.

She was The First Lady of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church and was a loving mother and grandmother to many.

She was preceded in death along with her parents and a son, Larry Dale Wells Jr. and a daughter, Jacqueline Johnson.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Larry Dale Wells Sr.; four children, Angie Kelley and her husband Randall of South Shore, Linda Harr and her husband Don of Berea KY, Joy Wells Holloway of South Shore and Joshua Wells and his wife Kim South Shore; a son in law, Eugene Johnson II and a daughter in law Jackie Wells; thirteen grandchildren, Eugene Johnson III and his wife Teresa, Jacqueline Dalton and her husband Billy, Jessica Wells and her partner Kenny, Jennifer Holland and her husband Derek, Randi Carver and her husband Wade, Ariel Harr, Jay Harr and his wife Elizabeth, Josiah Wells Kelley and his wife Sierra, Zee Wells, Joshua Wells, Jordyn Wells, Jase Wells and Silas Wells; sixteen great grandchildren, Duke Dalton, Dakota Dalton, Dustin Dalton, Mackenzie Dalton, Katelyn Johnson, Jadyn Dalton, Jalee Holland, Sarah Johnson, Jacoby Holland, Bentlee Carver, Jaxon Holland, Erin Harr, River Hart, Harper Kelley, Kennedy Holland and Remi Harr; a brother, Emerson Perkins; a sister, Callie Sue Perkins along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Bro. Randall Kelley and Bro. Don Harr.

Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery in South Shore KY.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2023, and from 11:00 AM till the time of the funeral on Sunday at the funeral home.
