1958 – 2025

Elaine Carson Gillum 66, of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at her residence.

She was born in Lawrence County Kentucky on November 17, 1958, a daughter of the late Carson Thurman & Janet Wheeler Gillum.

She graduated from Paul Blazer High School in 1976. She loved gardening, sewing, flowers and riding 4–Wheelers around the farm.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by a grandson, Adam Gumbert.

She is survived by the love of her life for over 20 years, Paul Edward Martin; a son, Adam Ray Gumbert and his wife Florence of South Shore; a daughter, Marva Maynard and her husband Kevin of Raceland; two grandchildren, Haley Gumbert and Kayla Gumbert; two great grandchildren, Carter Rowe and Noah Rowe; a brother, Jonathon Gillum of Ironton along with a host on nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Low Gap – Martin Cemetery on Low Gap Road in Greenup County by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

There is no public visitation.
