Elta May Chapman 75 of Raceland KY went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 11, 2022, at her residence.

She was born in Columbus OH on March 30, 1947, a daughter of the late Johnny & Beulah Kimbler May.

She was a member of the Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church in Raceland KY.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, Richard Wayne Chapman in 2012; a son, Barry Allen Chapman, a grandson, Ronny Chapman and a sister, Alice Keaton.

She is survived by a son, Richard Wayne Chapman and his wife Sherry of Wurtland; a daughter, Christina Yvonne Chapman of Russell; two grandchildren, Shana Neal and her husband Dan and Anthony Chapman and his wife Ruby; six great grandchildren, Alyssa, Braelyn, Devyn Casey, Seth and Narissa; a great great grandchild, Everly; a brother, Leon May of Oak Hill OH; seven sisters, Helen Keeton of Raceland, Barbara Cumpton of Wurtland, Connie Felty of Grayson, Elwanda Barton of Groveport OH, Tenia Henson of Louisa, Darlene Johnson of Webbville KY and Rebel Griffith of Grayson along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2022 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Anthony Keaton.

Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland KY.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2022, and one hour before the funeral on Friday at the funeral home.
