With hope for the future we announce the passing of Frances Joan Hafey.

Frances Joan Hafey, 67, of Argillite, Kentucky, passed away peacefully from Cancer at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. She was born on September 20, 1958, in Trumbull, Connecticut, and lived a life marked by resilience, creativity, and love for life.
Joan is survived by her two children: Mary Christina Johnson (Damon Jason Johnson) of Flatwoods, Kentucky, and Steven Lee Quinn (Kayla Victoria Quinn) of Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was a proud grandmother to Genivieve Grace Johnson and Benjamin Joseph Johnson, both of Flatwoods, Kentucky.
She is also survived by her older sister, Marie Carol Marciniak (Paul Marciniak) of Oxford, Connecticut, and her niece and nephew, Jessica and Paul Jr., also of Connecticut.
Joan was passionate about her pets and enjoyed hobbies such as ceramics and gardening. Despite facing illness for much of her life, she remained resilient and hopeful. It is our prayer that in passing, she has found the peace and comfort she long sought.
At this time, no services are planned. The family asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
