Gary Lee Frye 74 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland KY.

He was born in Chelyan WV on January 26, 1949, a son of the late Ralph & June Kathleen Brown Frye.

He was a retired laborer for C.S.X. Railroad, a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and a member of the Ashland Eagles.

Was preceded in death along with his parents by two brothers, Greg Frye and William “Bill” Frye.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kay Enyart Frye; a son, Johnny Fields of Simpson Co. KY; a daughter, Treasa Black and her husband Steve of Flatwoods; a grandson, Elijah Westfall and his wife Kayla of Jacksonville NC along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Dr. Thomas Melvin and Brother Gerardo Mejia.

Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery NE where he will receive full military honors.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, and one hour before the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home.
