Geneva Collier Martin 78, of Russell KY went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 15, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Load KY on September 5, 1941 a daughter of the late Gilbert “Gib” & Ruth Braden Collier.

She was a member of the Ironville Enterprise Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband of 52 years, Paul Vernon Martin in 2013; a son, Paul David Martin and two brothers, Ronnie Braden and Roy Collier.

She is survived by a son, Mark Anthony “Tony” Martin of Russell; three daughters, Tawnya Paulette Runyon and her husband Jason of Ironton, Ianthia Rae Hester and her husband Steven of Russell and Deanna Lynn Darby and her husband Gary of Greenup; two brothers, Raymond Collier and Rick Collier both of Load; five sisters, Theda Martin of Flatwoods, Linda Sammons of Lexington, Brenda Stanley of Flatwoods, Thelma Tomlin of Load and Rhonda Quillen of Lloyd; eight grandchildren, Dane Adams, A.J. Adams, Sarah Spradlin, Samantha Roberts, Derek Darby, Kelly Martin, Kyle Martin and Megan Martin; fourteen great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Due to restrictions placed on funerals by the government in regards to the COVID-19 virus, private services by Brother Danny Brown are scheduled for the family.

Burial will be in Danleyton Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Danleyton, KY.

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY has been entrusted with Geneva’s arrangements.
