1938 – 2023

Gordan Blevins 85 of Greenup County Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington WV.

He was born in South Webster Ohio on April 22, 1938, a son of the late Andy Everson & Lona Jones Blevins.

He was a lifelong farmer running his own produce farm, he attended the Racoon Freewill Baptist Church. He loved gardening, working on the farm, raising his chickens and being with his family.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by his wife, Esther Faye Rice Blevins in 2022; a son, Paul Nathan Blevins; four brothers, Allie Blevins, Bob Blevins, Denny Blevins and Dave Blevins and four sisters, Mary Hughes, Dorothy Thomas, Virginia Miles and Evelyn Click.

He is survived by two sons, Russell Blevins and his wife Betty of Greenup and Ben Blevins of Flatwoods; two daughters, Clyda Meade and her husband Bill of Greenup and Peggy Bowling Finley of Milton WV; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Blevins and Charlie Blevins; three sisters, Rosella Rice, Sue Reynolds and Deloris Reynolds along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brothers Steve Stapleton, Jeff Bond and Bil Oaks.

Burial will follow in the Gordan Blevins Family Cemetery in Greenup County Kentucky.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2023 and one hour before the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home.
