Harold Dixon
1944 – 2020
Harold Ray Dixon 75 of Ashland KY went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 31, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born in Ashland KY on August 9, 1944 a son of the late Delbert & Mary Hall Dixon.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy, an Armco retiree, a member of the Grayson Nazarene Church and a Kentucky Colonel. For a while he was a meat butcher, a truck driver, a school teacher but his most precious job was serving the Lord as a Nazarene Minister.
In his travels Harold touched many people, his wisdom and knowledge of the Lord was nearly unbelievable.
He was preceded in death along with his parents by his wife, Frances Faye Stephens Dixon in 2008 and a sister, Delores Meenach.
He is survived by his daughter, Jeana Catherine Miller and her husband Brandon of Load; four grandchildren, Bailee Miller, Brooklyn Miller, Caleb Hamilton and Shelby Hamilton; four brothers, Don Dixon and his wife Phyllis of Lexington, Bob Dixon of Nashville. Delbert Dixon Jr. and his wife Lois of Willard and James Dixon and his wife Opal of Summitt; a sister, Dorothy Lawhorn of Ashland; his fiancé, Freda Spears; two sister in laws, Darlene Stephens and Cathie Whitt along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:30 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brothers Jimmy Harris and Charles Bayless.
Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland KY.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
