1938 ~ 2026
Hiram David Ball (Jr.), 87, of Ashland, Kentucky passed away on April 10, 2026, at his home.
Jr was born on May 8th, 1938, in Louisa, Kentucky to Harmie and Fannie Mullins-Ball.
He was known for playing guitar, his humor, strength, and generosity and loved fishing and hunting, cooking soup beans and cornbread, family time, and being a member at Blackburn Avenue Baptist Church. He worked as an operator in the famous Florida Rock Industries.
Jr is survived by wife Drema; children Marilyn, Timothy (from previous marriage), Judy (Cody), David (Christy), Jason; grandchildren William, Roger, Brian, Michael (Amy), CJ, Ashlen, Corey (Kayla), Makayla (Caleb), Alexus, Jason Jr., Megan (Riley), and Olivia; 30 great grandchildren; and one sister Sally as well as numerous close family members.
He was preceded in death by Harmie and Fannie, as well as seven sisters Marie, Katherine, Jessie, Della Mae, Audrey, Shirley, and Jean.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Blackburn Ave. Baptist Church in Ashland KY by Brother Calvin Perry and Brother Harold Riffe.
Burial service at Harmon Cemetery in Lawrence County, Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the funeral service on Tuesday at the church.
The family would like to thank the hospice staff for their care and support.
Hiram will be loved and missed by his family, friends, and church family.
