Imogene Kersey

1935 – 2024

Imogene S. Kersey 88, of Flatwoods KY went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 6, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in Oglethorpe County GA on December 18, 1935, a daughter of the late William Arthur & Minnie Sylvester Brown Smith.

She was of the Baptist Faith and was a retired custodian with the Russell School System with 34 years of service.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by four children, Lisa Faye Hildebrandt, Linda Settles, Patricia Issacs and Jerome Kersey.

She is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Following Imogene’s wishes, she was buried without ceremony on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in the Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd KY.

In lieu of flowers she requested that you make donations to your favorite charity.
