Jackie True “Jack” Rice 77 of Westwood formally of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Greenup KY on December 24, 1942 a son of the late Millard Jackson & Elsie Vanover Rice.

He was a graduate from Greenup Independent High School in 1960, attended Morehead State University and was Greenup’s Life of Georgia insurance agent for many years.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by a brother, Jerry Rice; a sister, Linda Fletcher and a great granddaughter, Madilyn Grace Patterson.

He is survived by a daughter, Cathy D. Floyd and her husband Avery of Westwood; a son, Darrin J. Rice and his wife Christy of Gary, IN; a sister, Joy Marshall of Greenup; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a nephew that he helped raise, Kenneth Rice and his wife Christy of Bardstown KY along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, June 1, 2020 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Mike Dennis.

Burial will follow in the Sunset Cemetery in Greenup KY.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the funeral home.
