1986 – 2022

Jacob Michael “Jake” Scott 35 of Ironton OH went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington WV.

He was born in Springfield IL on December 18, 1986, a son of Michael Dennis & Tammy Elaine Howard Scott of Ironton OH.

Jake was a graduate of Open Door in 2008 and attended the Resurrection Hope United Methodist Church in Ironton.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phil and Evalena Howard and Harry and Anne Scott.

His smile lit up the room, he loved music and dancing, his family and friends, parties, and socializing.

Roller coasters, Disney, horseback riding, good food and sports were activities he loved the most. He cheered for Kentucky Basketball, the Red’s in baseball, the Ohio State in football and the Ironton Tigers on Friday nights.

He is survived along with his mother and father by a sister, Jordan Mackenzie Dalton and her husband Zach of Ironton; a nephew, Westyn Cole Dalton along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Resurrection Hope United Methodist Church in Ironton OH by Brothers Terry Jones and Tom Lewis.

Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Ironton OH.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the service on Friday at the church.  

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
