James Richard Boyles 79 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 21, 2024, at his residence.

He was born in Greenup KY on April 14, 1945, a son of the late Vernon & Sylvia Clark Boyles.

He was a retired Carman for C.S.X. Railroad, a member of the Chinns Branch Baptist Church and a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carman.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by four siblings, George Willard Boyles, Clarence Boyles, Phillip Boyles and Jackie Crabtree.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sarah Helen Knipp Boyles; a daughter, Rhonda Gail Adkins Moore and her husband Dale of Greenup; a son, James Melvin Boyles and his wife Christina of Greenup; four grandchildren, Isaac Adkins, Sarah Boyles, Emma Boyles and Mason Boyles; two great grandchildren, Braxton Adkins and Waylon Adkins; a brother, Junior Boyles and his wife Raetta of Greenup; a sister, Aileen Warner and her husband David of Bowling Green KY along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the George Boyles Memorial Cemetery by Brother David Warner.

There is no public visitation.
