Janet Lousie Mauk, 87 of Ashland KY formally of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord Monday, August 24, 2026, at UK King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland KY.

She was born in Wurtland KY on May 30, 1939, and was the daughter of the late George & Daisy Smith Williams.

Janet was a member of the Wurtland Nazarene Church.

She was proceeded in death along with her parents by her husband Paul Edward Mauk; a son, William Edward Mauk; a son-in-law, Micky Crider; six brothers, Herman Williams, Gene Williams, Floyd Williams, Clifford Williams, Scoval Williams and George Williams and six sisters Eva Grimshaw, Easter Hall, Gladys Litteral, Lettie Hamilton, Violet Wilson and Opal Yocum.

She is survived by a daughter, Paula Crider of Greenup KY; three grandchildren, Alex Mauk, Danille Colt and D.J. Ellis; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Bonzo of Flatwoods KY along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extend family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Caroline Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made towards the funeral expenses.
