1930 - 2024

Jennie Elsie Royster, 94, of Lloyd KY, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Community Hospice Care Center, in Ashland KY.

She was born in Scioto County OH, on January 7, 1930, a daughter of the late Beverly Newton Wiget and the late Nellie Alice Easter Wiget Ketterer.

Elsie devoted her life to Christ and loved him dearly. Her family, Church family, and God were the balance in her life. She was a member of the Grace Independent Baptist Church in Greenup and she always looked forward to every service. She loved God so dearly she wrote a song titled “God of the Impossible”. She was also a proud member of the Lloyd Homemakers Club.

She proceeded in death along with her parents by her husband Virgil Royster in 2005; a brother Beverly Joseph Wiget; and two sisters Lillian Mae Smith and Nan Cox.

She has survived by a son, Larry Virgil Royster and his wife Debra of Bellefonte KY; two daughters, Sharon Bramblett and her husband Danny of Lloyd KY and Kathy Burke and her husband Jack of Rush KY; seven grandchildren, Autumn Longoria (Jesse), Daniel Joseph Bramblett, April Noel Depp (Casey), William Lionel Royster (Jessica), Misti Salcido, Brandon Burke (Julie), and Melissa Whitt; nine great-grandchildren, Jessica Longoria, Brian Longoria, Mateo Salcido, Jenna Burke, Abbie Burke, Ace Royster, Addison Royster, Emily Depp, and Jennie Depp; a sister-in-law, Joyce Wiget of Lafayette LA, along with her church family and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Wright’s Funeral Home of Greenup, KY by brothers Gary Arthurs and Greg Wells.

Visitation will be at 6:00 PM, Friday, November 8, 2024, and 2 hours before the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Burial will follow in the Siloam Cemetery in South Shore KY.
