Jerrod Alton Vinson 39 of Oldtown KY went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 10, 2021.

He was born in Ashland KY on March 10, 1982, a son of Donald Lloyd & Jeanie Karen Sargent Vinson of Oldtown.

He was a Union Carpenter, he was a loving caregiver for his Nanny Gail, he attended the Greenup First Baptist Church, was a 2000 graduate of Greenup County High School and was a former Licensed Practical Nurse at Boyd Nursing and Rehab and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Laverne Sargent.

He is survived along with his parents by his daughter, Emma Leigh Vinson of Flatwoods; a brother, Matthew Hunter Vinson of Oldtown; a maternal grandmother, Lillian “Gail” Sargent of Flatwoods; paternal grandparents, Donald L. & Mabel Louise Parsons Vinson Sr. of Flatwoods; a niece, Camryn Elise Vinson along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

Burial will follow in the Sargent Cemetery in Oldtown KY.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till the time of the service Thursday.
