Jerry Roy Hicks 82 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at his residence.

He was born in Wurtland KY on May 11, 1940 a son of the late Cecil Grubb and the late Mamie Hicks.

He was a retired office manager for Vision Manufacturing, a life member of the Tipp City Eagles and attended the Greenup Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by his first wife, Delores Mae Hicks; two sons, Robert C. Loy Jr and Russell Ray Loy; a brother, Clifford Grubb and two sisters, June Tackett and Sandra Maiden.

He is survived by his wife, Nyoka Palmer Hicks; three sons, Charles Loy and his wife Cindy of Troy OH, Richard Loy of Troy and Jerry Hicks and his wife Melanie of Vandalia OH; a daughter, Pauline Smith of Worthington; a sister, Laura Brown of Load; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

Burial will be at a later date in the Brown Cemetery in Load KY.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM till the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
