1944 – 2020

John Edgar Bays 76 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington WV.

He was born in Portsmouth OH on February 16, 1944 a son of the late John A. & Eva Blanton Bays.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by his wife Alice Sue Kelley Bays in 2017.

He is survived by two sons, Denny Bays (Nancy) of Minford OH and John D. Bays (Stephanie) of Ocean Springs MS; two daughters, Angela Wilson (Bill) of Portsmouth and Susan Hepler (Michael) of Rush; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn J. Leach of Monroe MI and Betty Brown of Concord MI along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Junior Furnace Cemetery in Franklin Furnace OH by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY.
