Joseph Frank “Joe” Nutz, 92, of Raceland KY, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 20, 2025, at his residence.

He was born in Gowrie, Iowa, on June 27, 1932, a son of the late Frank Fred & Marie Hirschberg Nutz.

Joe was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for the State of Kentucky Department of Human Resources, a former police officer with the City of Greenup Police and the Former Chief of the City of Raceland Police Department.

He was proceeded in death along with his parents by a great granddaughter, Skylar Reeves; two brothers, Frank Nutz & Rudy Nutz and a sister, Helen LaFollette.

He is survived by his wife Theresa Jo Howard Nutz; three sons, Rick Nutz of Fairfax IA, Dr. Joseph Nutz Jr. and his wife Dr. Petra Nutz of Durham NC and Joseph Nutz and his wife Jasmine of Flatwoods KY; two daughters, Debbie Brunelle McDonald and her husband Coit of Jasper GA and Cindy Morgan and her husband Bill of Goodlettsville TN; thirteen grandchildren, Matthew Nutz and his wife Nicole, Staci Wozniak and her husband Dan, Dr. Steven Nutz and his wife Dr. Alanna Nutz, Jessie Nutz, Eric Nutz, Bryson Nutz, Benton Nutz, Rachel Brunelle-Rhodes and her husband John, Amanda Brunelle, Kelson Brunelle, Brittany Morgan, Amber Reeves and her husband Tim and Kay Leigh Morgan; three great grandchildren, Kyleigh Brooke Reeves, Nate Nutz and Nellie Nutz; two special nephews, Ronnie Jenson and Ricky LaFollette, along with a host of extended family and friends.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at noon on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods KY, by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

There is no Visitation.
