Kenneth Wade Bowling

Kenneth Wade Bowling 78 of Greenup County KY went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at his residence.

He was born in York KY on February 28, 1940 a son of the late Garrett Hobert & Hazel Colley Bowling.

He was a retired Carman for C.S.X. Railroad, a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carman, a Christian and attended the Load Christian Baptist Church. He was a farmer, a logger and loved spending time caring for his cattle.

Ken was preceded in death along with his parents by three sisters, Eunice Lewis, May Johnson and Theola Reapp and five brothers, Ed Bowling, Willard Bowling, Clifford Bowling, Clint Bowling and Arvil Bowling.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wilma Fay Mabry Bowling whom he married on August 5, 1961; a son Chris Bowling and his wife Vicky of Load; three daughters, Sherry Carlin and her husband Ray of Load, Teresa Samons and her husband Jim of South Point and Billie Morrison and her husband Rick of Wurtland; seven grandchildren; Punky Kennard, Sarah Bowling, Garrett Bowling, David Nickel, Erica Willis, Jessica Morrison and Tonya Winn; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Herma Gibbons and her husband Earl of Bellbrook OH and Marie Archey of Troy Ohio; his best buddy Benji, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Load Christian Baptist Church by Brothers Britt Bush and Mike Allen.

Burial will follow in the Quillen Cemetery in Lynn KY.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY and one hour before the funeral Thursday at the church.
