Laura Janice Jenkins 80 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland KY.

She was born in Huntington WV on November 9, 1940, a daughter of the late Buster & Ida Starr Moore.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband John Jenkins; three brothers, Ted Moore, Sherman Moore and Ricky Moore; a sister, Beula “Boots” Spradlin and a grandson, Jesse Ross.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Jean “Bobbie” Baker and her husband Sherman of Greenup; five sons. Herbie Ross and Lloyd Ross both of Hammond IN and Steve Ross, Barry Ross and Bill Ross and his wife Cathy all of Gary IN; a brother, Glenn “Butch” Moore of Catlettsburg; three sisters, Barbara Moore of Hammond, Peggy Adams of Mexico Beach FL and Betty Johnson of Gary; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 3:00 PM Friday, October 29, 2021, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY.

The family will receive visitors from 1:00 PM till the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
