1955 – 2023

Linda E. Sargent 67 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland KY.

She was born in Ashland KY on May 2, 1955 a daughter of the late Millard Franklin & Lillie Louise Bradford Sargent.

She was a member and Past Matron of Greenup Electa Chapter #3 Order of the Eastern Star, attended the Christian Fellowship Independent Baptist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel.

She loved to can vegetables, fish, quilt and sing gospel music.

She is survived by six siblings, Karen Rankl and her husband Ray of Sarasota FL, Ben Sargent and his wife Cathy of Greenup, Greg Sargent and his wife Rebecca of Greenup, Mary Goben and her husband Jon of Frankfort, Traci Maynard and her husband Fred of Bertram TX and Melissa Wilburn and her husband James of Greenup along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Mark Hutchinson.

Burial will follow in the Sargent Cemetery in Oldtown KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the funeral service on Sunday at the funeral home.           

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
