Lois Dean Darby 81, of Raceland KY went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland KY.

She was born in Ironton OH on March 5, 1944, a daughter of the late Louis “Lou” & Lucy Justice Darby.

Being raised in the City of Greenup she was a 1962 graduate of Greenup Independent High School and was a member of the Greenup First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her twin brother, Louis Gene Darby and a sister-in-law, Debbie Darby.

She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Ann Williams and her husband Raymond of Worthington; three sons, Jeff Bonzo and his wife Brandy of Greenup, D.T. Bonzo and his wife Sara of Raceland and Tim Bonzo of Wurtland; a sister, Mary Womack and her husband Robert of Newbern NC; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Dr. Thomas Melvin.  

Burial will follow in the Bellefonte Cemetery in Flatwoods KY.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2026, and from 10:00 AM till the time of the funeral on Friday at the funeral home.
