1935 – 2025

Lois Dean Worthington 89, of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wurtland KY.

She was born in Warnock KY on December 2, 1935, a daughter of the late Clyde & Josephine Hall Lambert.

She was a member of the Greenup Christian Church and attended the Raceland Christian Church. She was a former Co-Owner of Townhill Motors in Greenup Kentucky. She was a caregiver to many of her family and friends and always loved and supported her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, Glen Wiliam Worthington in 2005 and a sister, Norma Burton.

She is survived by her children, Roger Worthington and his wife Gina of Greenup, Mike Worthington and his wife Kim of Greenup, Tammy Jo Edge and her husband David of Lexington; grandchildren, Becky Jo Bates, Shannon Worthington and his wife Megan, Whitley Jo Tackett and her husband Trei, Taylor Louise Worthington and Shelby Patrick Harden and her husband Ethan; great grandchildren, Sophie, Max, Levi, Adyson, Aiden, Brodey, Asher, Gabriel and Jasper; siblings, Leroy Lambert, Joann Patton, Mary Lou Davis and her husband Glenn and Sue Ray along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

The Worthington family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation and Community Hospice for the loving care they extended to Lois in her final days.  

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Raceland Christian Church at 210 Caroline Road in Raceland KY by Brothers Jason Lykins and David Seals.

Burial will follow in the Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am till the time of the funeral service at the church.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Lois’s honor to Community Hospice 1538 Central Ave. Ashland Ky. 41101.
