Lorene Knipp

1933 – 2021

Lorene Elizabeth Knipp 87 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wurtland KY.

She was born in Carter County Kentucky on June 23, 1933 a daughter of the late Luke & Edith Walker Carroll.

She was preceded in death along with parents by two husbands, Robert Lee Porter and Willis Knipp: four sons, Roger Knipp, Leslie Knipp, Gary Knipp and Darrell Knipp and a brother, Eugene Carroll.

She was a retired bookkeeper for the Greenup County Health Department and a member of the Greenup Presbyterian Church.  

She is survived by two sons, Ray Knipp of South Shore and Michael Knipp of Salmon Idaho along with several grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Jack Edwards.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in South Shore KY.

Visitation will be Sunday from 12 noon till the time of the service.
