Makenzie Grace Hogsten, 8 of Wurtland, KY, went to be with Jesus, surrounded by her family she loved dearly, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH.

She was born in Huntington, West Virginia on June 18, 2015, a daughter of Christopher Allen & Raeana Gay Kibbey Hogsten.

She enjoyed playing with her L.O.L. dolls and eating her favorite foods; salads, meatballs, gummies, and Slim Jims, while in the company of her family.

She survived along with her parents by a sister, Aubree Rae Hogsten of Wurtland KY; her maternal grandparents, Keith and Jody Kibbey of Flatwoods KY; her paternal grandparents, Belissa Carpenter and her husband Ed of New York NY and Elmer Hogsten of Ironton OH; a maternal great grandfather, James R. Justice of Greenup KY along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 11, 2024, at the Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

Burial will follow in the Plum Grove Cemetery in Greenup KY.

Visitation will be at 5:00 PM on Sunday and one hour before the funeral on Monday at the funeral home.

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup, KY. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
