Marie Fyffe
1933 – 2024
Marie Cooper Fyffe 90, of Argillite KY, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 29, 2024, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland KY.
She was born in Sunshine Kentucky on November 18, 1933, a daughter of the late Harold William & Thelma Louise Timberlake Cooper.
She was a member of the Sunshine Community Church, a member of the Flatwoods Lions Club, a volunteer at the Greenup County War Memorial and a member of the Greenup County Wildlife Club.
She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, William E. “Bill” Fyffe in 2021; a brother, Harold William “Jack” Cooper Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Mae “Dottie” Smith.
She is survived by a son, Scott William Fyffe and his wife Kim of Argillite; a daughter, Tina Louise Hall and her husband Randy of Argillite; five grandchildren, Chelsey Sims (Dustin), Bradley Fyffe (Kate), Melanie Gillum (Mike), Jeremy Gillum (Meghan) and Jessica Hall (Jerri); eight great grandchildren, Scarlett Sims, Eleanor Sims, Mia Gillum, Jace Gillum, Jaxen Gillum, Jude Gillum, Madison Hatfield and Kaytie Hatfield; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special neighbors, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 12:30 PM on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Kenneth Fox.
Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery NE.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
