Matthew Christopher Ingram 65 of Greenup KY passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 in Greenup.

He was born on July 23, 1955 in Louisville, KY a son of the late Marvin & Mary Freeborn Ingram.

He is survived by three brothers Mark (Jean) Ingram, Timmy (Anne) Ingram, and Paul Ingram; a sister Linda (Tom) Meredith along with several nieces and nephews.

Matt graduated from Westport High School where he played basketball and baseball. He was a talented athlete and was awarded a baseball scholarship to the University of Louisville. He made it to the minor leagues before he suffered a career ending injury.

He had a varied and interesting career history, working with the Louisville Redbirds from their inception, as a physician recruiter, to the hospitality industry. One of his favorite jobs was working at Churchill Downs. He always loved horseracing. Matt never met a stranger and no matter where he was, he always ran into someone he knew.

Due to the Covid crisis, a celebration of Matt's life will be held at a later date.
