1957 – 2023

It is with deepest sorrow the family of Paul Bryson Hunt, age 65 of Flatwoods KY announce he went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington KY.

He was born in Williamson WV on September 8, 1957, a son of the late Carl Bryson & Carrie Frances Hammond Hunt.

He was a graduate and class President of Russell High School’s Class of 1975 and a former member of Smith Lodge #775 in Flatwoods. Paul loved spending time in the garden, taking care of his cat Tom and building projects for Jocelyn and her horse Skylar. He was a hardworking man of strong character and values. His family was the light of his world and will be deeply missed but know that he soars on the wings of eagles.

He is preceded in death along with his parents by a brother, Daniel Hunt and a sister, Carol Little.

He is survived by his wife Janette Louise Craft Hunt; a daughter, Brandi Nicole Hunt Branscomb and her husband Johnny of Easton, MD; a son, Bryson Andrew Hunt and his wife Abnie of Wahiawa HI; three grandchildren, Jocelyn Hunt, Maddox Hunt and Yana Hunt; an Uncle and Aunt, James and Ruth Hammond; lifelong best friends who were like brothers to him, Mike Bales, Doug Lowe, Keith Hall, and John Rose, along with a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Glenn Stephenson.

The family will receive visitors to celebrate his life from 2:00 PM till the time of the service on Saturday.

Donations may be made to Wright’s Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
