1948 – 2023

Ralph Cecil Hieneman 74 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland KY.

He was born in Greenup on December 31, 1948, a son of the late Albert Arthur & Alma Boyles Hieneman.

He retired from Well’s Ready Mix, was a former member of the City of Greenup Fire Department; he loved the outdoors, grouse hunting and his family. His girls and grandchildren were his life.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by three brothers, Dennis (Pauline) Hieneman, Lee Bob (Sharon) Hieneman and Jim (Mary Ann) Hieneman and three sisters, Ruth (Paul) Allen, Betty (Paul) White and Dottie (Melvin) Robinson.

He is survived by his wife Edwina Louise “Eady” Pierce Hieneman; three daughters; Lisa Williams and her husband Rob of Wurtland, Pam Bays and her husband Shawn of Greenup and Christi Lodwick and her husband Phil of Wurtland; six grandchildren, Jessica (Lenny) Akers, Jeremy (Sarah) Williams, Shawnda (Ryan) Davis, Breanna (Freddie) Shepherd, Jacob Lodwick and Caleb Lodwick; seven great grandchildren, Avarey Shepherd, Asher Shepherd, Beckett Shepherd, Mason Akers, Josie Akers, Aubrey Williams and Harper Davis; four brothers, Gary (Pat) Hieneman, Johnny (Carolas) Hieneman, Kenneth (Sis) Hieneman and Danny (Brenda) Hieneman; two sisters, Joyce (Bob) Muck and Polly (Chester) Boggs along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brother Kenny Martin.

Burial will follow in the Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd KY.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to the Cincinnati Childrens Hospital P.O. Box 5202 Cincinnati OH 45201-5202.
