1955 – 2024

Randall Dale “Randy” Sowards, 68, of Greenup KY, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 14, 2024, at the River Run Nursing Home in Portsmouth OH.

He was born in Ashland KY on October 24, 1955, a son of the late Homer & Ethel Mae Bowling Sowards.

He was proceeded in death long with his parents by his wife of 44 years, Linda Sowards; a sister, Sharon Gail McKenzie and an uncle, Malcolm Bowling.

He has served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired Engineer for C.S.X. Railroad.

He has survived by two daughters, Nicole Lynn Sowards (Donnie) of Lloyd KY, and Miranda Shontea Nadeau and her husband Austin of Austin TX; two grandchildren, Mckinley Susan Nadeau and Weston Gregory Nadeau; along with a host of extended family and friends.

Fulfilling Randy’s wishes a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell KY by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

There is no visitation.

Military Honors will be presented by the Kenova American Legion.  

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup, KY. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
