1950 – 2022
Robert Milton “Bob” Brown 71 of South Shore went to be with the Lord at home, surrounded by his wife and daughters, on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Ashland KY.
He was born in Oldtown KY on July 24, 1950, a son of the late William Kenneth & Darlene Crabtree Brown.
He was a retired Greenup County Deputy Jailer, a 40-year member of Harrison - Fullerton Masonic Lodge #937, a member of the Light Bearers Ministry, a Kentucky Colonel and the D.A.V.
He was an Army Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient of the Vietnam War while serving in the 35th/538th Engineers LCC.
He was preceded in death along with his parents by a brother William Kenneth Brown Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shelia Diana Stephens Brown; two daughters, Naomi Lois Gilliam and her husband Jack of Greenup and Angela Renee Hall and her husband Josh of Ashland; seven grandchildren, Ryanne Pennington, Parker Montgomery, Madison Montgomery, Cassidy Montgomery, Jaden Hall, Laci Hall and Auzha VanSant; two brothers, Carlton Brown of Oldtown and Jerry Brown and his wife Missy of Greenup; three sisters, Wyvetta Williams and her husband Lester of Maysville, Regina Holbrook of Hagerhill KY and Stephanie Daniels and her husband Perry of South Shore along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY.
Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery NE in Greenup County.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the funeral home.
Masonic funeral rites will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday, during visitation.
