1933 – 2024

Ronnie Lee Large 90, of Flatwoods KY, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 10, 2024, at his residence.

He was born in Flatwoods KY September 3, 1933, a son of the late Chester & Opal Ishmael Large.

He was a retired carman for CSX. He was a member of the Crownsman Quartet and loved to sing gospel music and was of the Christian faith. He loved to garden and can his own vegetables from his garden he always raised. His made his own wine and was an accomplished painter.

He was preceded in death along with his parent by his wife Sylvia “Toby” Meade Large in 2017; a daughter, Peggy Lee Vance and a sister, Betty Lewis.

He is survived by a son, Ronald Chester “Ronnie” Large and his wife Anita of Greenup KY; seven grandchildren, Kevin Tyler Large, Travis Ryan Large, Katelyn Marie Adams, Bobby Green, Tracey Groves, Kristina Barney, and Lori Kidwell; seventeen great grandchildren; two sisters, Josie Morse of Grayson KY and Mary Lott of Worthington KY along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held, 12:00 PM, Friday, March 15, 2024, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY, by Dr. Thomas Melvin.

Burial will follow in the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods KY.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the service time, Friday, March 15, 2024, at the funeral home.
